It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Third World Congress for Plastic Surgeons of Chinese Descent, which will be held in Xian, China on October 12-14, 2012 and hosted by the Department of Plastic Surgery at Xijing Hospital of Fourth Military Medical University.

The great success of our two previous congresses in Beijing and Taipei has confirmed that plastic surgeons of Chinese Descent are enthusiastic in meeting their fellow colleagues from different regions of the world. The Department of Plastic Surgery at Xijing Hospital would certainly like to ensure you another successful meeting with exciting scientific and social programs in Xian, China.

The congress will draw many talented Plastic Surgeons of Chinese decent from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Europe, North America, and other parts of the world. The congress itself will provide a unique opportunity for Plastic Surgeons of Chinese decent to showcase their contributions and achievements to Plastic Surgery with pride of the culture and heritage. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge and to promote friendship among plastic surgeons of Chinese Descent.

The congress will also serve as a forum for the inauguration of our official international society, the World Association for Plastic Surgeons of Chinese Descent (WAPSCD). This newly formed international organization will soon be responsible for all related scientific, educational, and social activities among plastic surgeons of Chinese Descent worldwide after the Xian meeting.

Xian is becoming a modern city but with rich history and many tourist attractions such as Terra Cotta Warriors. We are confident that you would enjoy your visit to the city and participation to the excellent scientific and social programs of the congress.
